I've really been enjoying Instagram lately, and after taking part in March Meet the Maker I definitely felt inspired to keep up the good work through April! So, what's been happening?
Launched and shared some rose gold pieces, I'm loving how full the collection is looking!
We caught some rays on the North Norfolk coast (yes it is possible!) on a unseasonably warm April weekend. The views are just beautiful over Blakeney marshes, we'll definitely visit again.
Rose gold mani! The Essie In Stitches shade goes so well with skinny rose gold stacking rings. This particular manicure looked amazing, until I chipped it making jewellery - that's a jeweller's life...
I started making a dress, my first one ever. I've only ever made cushion covers before so it is slow going. I'm about 3/4 of the way through, and it's taken me about 8 hours so far. I'm hoping I get quicker as I'd like to make more designs in the future. I'll let you know how I get on!
I found out my husband is excellent at taking photographs of necklaces, if modelled on me. Handy! We shot a few of my necklaces this month and I'm so pleased with how they have come out. This blouse from H&M features fairly regularly now, so I'll have to go shopping for a new one to keep things varied, a good excuse!
The Cambridge Creatives Spring Instagram Photowalk! The second one of its kind, read all about it in my post.
And that was April! I packed quite a lot in. I really feel like I'm getting into the swing of things with my business now the dark winter months are over, that extra Vitamin D helps. May is all about keeping up that momentum, and a little bit of planning before our holiday to Cornwall in June.
There's lots and lots of new jewellery on the way, including some geometric pieces, so watch out for those.
You can follow me @melajewellery on Instagram. Hope you have a lovely May!
